Dashboard swap v1...v5/6 questions

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows if the newer wrx's like v5 etc still run a speedo cable type system or is it electronic with a speedo drive?

Im thinking of doing the newer dash swap in my car & need to know if it can still run the cable with the newer digital odometer etc

as for wiring I wont be running all the heaters/fans etc anyway so thats not a biggie

i think it the V1/2's that run the cabble driven speedo's...and maybe early V3's but cant confirm..

1 2 and 3 are cable, 4+ are electric

The speedo drive on your gear box plus the wiring from there to your dash

Sweet well it looks easy enough to swap that over & wire it up to the cluster, I am assuming there would be wiring that goes to the ecu aswell ? I am running a apexi RSM aswell which may come into it aswell(not hooked up yet)
