The first thing the new owner did was pull off the sticker, 4inch muffler out the back and a huge front mount. :

And a skid to keep the van loving alive.

Supra Getrag 6 speed manual box is best I think.

The Hiace I know of is running an auto box but im not sure what kind...

some vans came factory v8 from japan ah.my old work mate had a old wrecked van that was factory v8.it was used as a ambulance in japan some were.he pulled the motor out and go rid of the van.it was too dangours he reckons.

How do they do the getrag, the vans are cable or linkage shifters? Midget in the back shifting? semi auto haha.

Oh sorry thought you meant in general, I know in the utes the Getrag is the gearbox of choice, Only Hiace I have seen personally runs an auto.

Hilux I know of runs a tremec t56 from a CTS-v, remote shifter.

My surf has the 1uz mated up to the factory manual surf box, touch wood no problems.

linkage shift, the top would probably just change over,

Standard hiace petrol R150 'box. Just custom bellhousing. Only thing they seem to say is change the rear diff to a 4.1 for better town driving. (then put a ARB locker in for burnout fun)

That was one of my questions. Can i use my 2.4 petrol standard box with no worries without changing linkage points etc for the clutch?

One of the threads in those forums had photos of a custom made mount for the clutch slave cylinder.

Custom sump (or dry sump) to lower the engine, and flip manifold = success

I jsut thought it was removed for the picture. I know you can remove them on the L300/Delica's to give yourself more room to access the turbo side.

throttle body in wrong place, could move it to the pax side i guess heaps off room there mmmmm how to fits supercharger
