Hi, couple of questions.

How do i adjust the foglights on a BG5B GTB? one needs to be raised a little.

Where are the engine numbers on the engine block? can they be seen with the engine in the car and without stripping manifolds etc?

okay, found both the engine number, and the foglight adjustment. fixed the low foglight.

now what i need to know, is if subarus have the engine number, of the factory stock engine somewhere on the car, like on the vin plate or something. i need to know if the engine has been changed.

its on the chassis plate on the LH front inner gaurd. by the strut tower.

Has the chassis, engine, gearbox, colour and trim codes/numbers

it says EJ20R and then heaps of other letters, but none of them match the engine numbers on the block (its 6 numbers, no letters).

i need to know if this is the original block for the car

go to this website put in your rego and it will give you full details of rego, w.o.f, engine no, vin, the full monty www.carjam.co.nz ;D this will give you the original engine number hope this helps

It will give you the engine number it entered the country with, IF the compliance shop could be bothered noting that down on the VIN paperwork.

Subaru Japan don't keep a record of the serial numbers of components that go into cars, they don't even have electronic records of the trans codes that went into the cars.... If it's NZ New, Subaru NZ have all of their cars Engine Serial Numbers/Trans Codes/Radio Codes/Key Codes/Immobilzier Codes/Everythingelseunderthesun listed... so if you goto a Dealership and ask someone in the Service Department nicely, they *MAY* look this up for you.

If it's an import though, tough luck sorry.
