02 b4 Legacy need more power !!

Hey guys and girls , my mate has a 2002 b4 twin turbo and wants more power .I told him to start with a a exhaust but I got told that tou have to keep the cats or sensors in so the ecu doesn't have problems.Has any one put a front pipe on this model ?? Can you reflash the factory ecu . This car feels very sad compared to v7 sti so just want to help my mate get some power. Any help or ideas would great.

I don't think there's really much you can do to a twin turbo. Single turbing will the best way to go.

However, you could do the Intake Silencer Delete mod to draw in cooler air. And just a general tune up and running upper cylinder cleaner will bring back some power

You wont get such a kick from a twin turbo like you do with a single turbo since the boost isnt a huge rush

well first u are comparing it to a v7 sti its not like they are on the same page for perfomance or handling.......

yeah I know it wont compare to a v7sti but I had a 97 rs twinturbo a few years ago and that went a lot better, it had a lot more kick with the 2nd turbo.Maybe my friend bought a lemon.

No, it's because the 97 rsb had a valley with a lack of boost right before the secondary, so you feel the 'kick'. The B4 is just as quick, if not faster, but it has a smoother delivery, so doesn't feel as fast. But on the flip side, much nicer to drive. All a matter of perspective.

i have one piece of advice and i know its going to sound strange with the things that i have done and are doing with subarus.

If its not broken, leave it along. The B4 is fine the way it is, if u want it faster get a v7
