internal gate :'(

This is a datalog from my car, you can see the EGBP (white) is a bit less than MAP (orange). This is good. Most turbos only like to make more power when the EGBP is less than 1.2x MAP pressure

Reasons why EGBP is higher than MAP are due to exhaust restrictions (headers, turbine housing size, post turbo exhaust), or the turbo being maxed out

Steve was telling me standard turbos run 2:1 egbp and with a back cut turbine you can get too 1:1 . but any way . 3inch makes way way way more power than 2.5 inch . . no theories straight bum in the seat and dyno sheet proof .

bro you need 3 inch the whole way . as straight as possible . the least amount of back pressure . . i had 3 inch down pipe and 3 inch mid and 2.5 tail section . changing it 2 3inch the whole way made massive difference. and no matter what any one says you will make more power with external over internal . external can hold shut right until peak boost then open where internal has to start shuttling before peak so thus makes torque curve of external much sharper . more mid range . more power . only saying as this is what i saw on dyno comparing cars with external vs internal . .

i beg to differ man, possum bourne told me that my exhaust setup was prt decent and no point changing it.ithink il listen to them ,

i have no reason to change it yet,my opioin it flows well.none of you have been in my car to tell how well it flows,

,and brad yeh i know iv learnt internal's are s*** no matter what is said, external all the way, bigger better newer tecnology.

i bet money on it a 3 inch down pipe will make more power than a 2.5 inch. the exhaust is key and the down pipe is the main factor . . 3 inch out flows 2.5 by miles . . like i said if you feel it in ya butt dyno its a good gain

ok maybe you just need to start adding IMO (in my opinion) before comments like that, PBMS are one of the most respected and experienced subaru mechanic/engineers in the country, you cant just tell everyone not to believe anything they say.

IMO Lol . . . and how well can you tel your exhaust is flowing by driving . one way to tell is with boost solenoid duty cycle . say on 50percent you had 15 Pound . you change exhaust and make more flow but leave at 50percent . and boost goes to 18Pound them you have to turn duty cycle down to say 40percent to get back to 15Pound

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
