BP Legacy modding -Mission impossible?

Well its proving to be mission impossible getting decent parts for this so far.

don't think it'll be any different than tuning/remapping STis V8 onwards, so you won't be a test dummy.

and ya, you will struggle with the other stuff, it's hard enough having a 3rd gen so i'd guess it's miles harder for 4th gen

Torque performance is in Nth island so that rules that out.

would be the same, they should say it's their first time doing a BP legacy, that's all. I wouldn't worry as not many ppl go the legacy path but rather go the STi path

These can be tuned thru open source, if you have a lap top buy a cable taxrix and then get someone reputable to tune it, im sick of seeing performance shops tucking people using free softwere!

they had them on their TM acc

buy TMIC and downpipe from the States

Downpipe makes big difference to performance on BP and BL

Aftermarket TMIC is also very good for decent Kw increase too

Shipped on on priorty express mail (which is normally 5-8days) is $110 US for shipping ( $135 NZD )

DHL (1-2days max ) is $300 US

www.romraider.com for a free open source tuning program.

very easy to use, no need for an ebc. wind up the boost and adjust fuelling maps, without needing to pop the bonnet.

as far as tuning goes, if the car isnt canbus system, a vag com cable from ebay or similar will do the trick. cant gaurentee itll flash tho. easiest system iv ever used for a tune.

What do they come with Standard on these BPs? Id be keen for a quote for sure.

How many hours labour is reasonable to replace the pipe?

What spec BP is it? and what MY?

main thing you would want to look at is your fuelling maps and boost level. wastegate duty isnt to hard either. plus theres the bonus of speed limiter removal for track use, etc etc.
