Anyone handy with Nissans? (GA15DE)

My Wingroad is making noises.

The first noise was a squeaking that goes with the speed of the engine and started when it was wet and used to disappear when the engine got warm, but now its pretty much constant. I thought it was the belt, but maybe a tensioner? The aux belt doesnt seem to have much slack, but its all so jammed in on that side i cant see much....

Is there anyway to test the tensioners and aux belt? Anyone know how hard it is to change them preventatively?

The second is a solid rattle that comes and goes. It doesnt change tone or speed with the engine. Sounds like it comes from the drivers side, but it only sometimes happens when the engines under a certain amount of load, so i cant find it in the engine. :'(

Probably not, but hopefully someone can go "Oh that? Thats X...."

I would say the accessory belt needs to be changed out,it may be tight but i can bet that it is worn out,especially if it a multirib design,you could change idlers and tensioners at the same time,how many K's has it done and how many since last belt change.

the other noise well could be any ones guess maybe have a look at the engine mounts

work on quite a few of these at work what year is it and its got 2 drive belts one belt for power steering and one for alternator and ac if you have it and the knocking noise maybe pinking if you have crappy plugs. I could give you a hand if you want

its a 1997, the Ks are a bit a mistery, as I bought it with a faulty speedo, but around 200k would be my estimate

Ill try and take some video of the noises, as to me theyre quite distinct perquliar noises I dont mind ggatting my hands dirty changing bits, but only if I have a guide or someone who knows what theyre doing ;D

north shore in auckland the drive belts may be just cracked and worn out which would be causing the squealing

As I said, some video. The squeak is obvious but the rattle can be heard from around 15sec onwards
