Exhaust question?

Hey all havent been on in ages thought i would pick at your brains.

Had a 3inch tbe no cat 5inch cannon one resonator testing station to loud so got another resonator put in so running two now notice the turbo spools up a lot slower than before still eventually hits peak boost but higher in the revs than before.

sounds strange that this happened sure it was a resonator and not a cat other than that best way is to take out mid sectiomn and replace with another to see if it still happens

a resonator is straight through and shouldn't add back pressure . a muffler that the gases flow through baffles adds back pressure which causes slower spool . . a silencer adds alot of back pressure too

Yeah definately was a resonator that was put in but yeah usually boosted extremely fast quick spool up to 22pound and now its so slow compared to before. cant take it out otherwise it would be way to loud. question though it was a 2.5" resonator but wouldnt have thought that would change the flow by much?

lol 22 Pound you supporting that ? and whos idea to put smaller resonator in ? that will rape the flow its just a restricter

just buy a silencer for wofs its the easiest way lol

Nah it didnt suprisingly and I used the tap for a while but just went back to the solenoid didnt notice much difference but now the car sounds like its got an exhaust leak and is drinking down the fuel like water Sux ass trying to diagnose the problem its sounds normal upto 2500rpm then after that its like a raspy chug.. Its off to midas to get the rear section of the exhaust modded a bit as its touching the rear bumper and melted a bit of it any ideas on why its doin this

yea thats what im hoping but would that make the car sound like ASS up in the rev range you reckon never encountered this on a car

normally you will hear a leak all the time . especially louder with load . .

yea thats what I thought oh well take it in and see but not sure if it is a leak as its a new system unles the gaskets they gave with it blew out somewhere
