found these stuck to my magnetic gearbox sump plug.and no im not talkin bout my fingers! reason i asked is because im having to do a gearbox swap after losing 2nd gear

Is it difficult to find reverse gear? Have you or anyone that you know of slammed the gears from 1st to reverse?

The reason I ask is that they look like 2 of the 3 detents that allow you to select reverse gear.

[Don't ask me why I know :)]

thtd be the reason then.... pull it apart and put them back in and youl have a spare.... they are on the main shaft.. obviously 2nd gear shift hub.... search for a diagram bro

so these not being in there would make the clack clack clack noise?

why did they come out in the first place?

oh and there is drive in 2nd however i changed 1-3 after the noise. ( no i didnt drive around using 2nd gear when it was like that )

the shift ring/sleeve will be cruising around on the hub and bangin it im guessing.... did you change real fast before it happened? either that or the spring that holds tension on the back of them broke and they fell out the back.... hard to tell until the box is apart

that makes sense now. :)

nope just normal changing.

will pull the box out tomorrow and crack it open. will post pics.

you would be amazed at wat 1 grain of sand can do to an automatic trans then..... they arnt just two bits of metal.... they have a very specific job and without them look what happens

yeah maybe.... check that the springs etc are still in good cond etc.... maybe get a gearbox specialist to check....

Yip syncro detents for sure

I'd take a wild guess and say that the input shaft nut has come undone and these are from the 5th/rev syncro assembly

It is very possible that one of these (prob the missing one , there are three of them) has gone through the gear set

yep! im gettin there! gotta get the damn box out first!

heres a tip! if your taking ya driveshaft out, replace the bolts with NEW ones! makes it much easier next time!

Did you get that bolt off...sorry i had to jit (didnt find a grinder tho!), back in Dunedin now, cars going mint....hope ya get it out and back in with no probs....

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
