as above what diagnostics port does my 1993 bg5 twin turbo legacy have as im looking at buying an obd2 port but i realise it wasnt standard till about 1996

was only the standard on all USDM cars from 1996 onward, not 100% sure when the JDM market made it standard, i would say chances are you don't have OBD-II, don't quote me on that someone here will know for sure.

i have been trying to find out what my 96 BD5 is as was looking at buying a code reader/Bluetooth dongle, but still yet to find out and haven't had a look for it as yet, i think it should be under the dash near where your right knee would be, search for a pinout for a subaru port and if you can find the connector and match it up, its a 16 pin connector that your looking for

all the info ive found on the interwebs mainly relates to US market but i cant be bothered trolling google for hours

pretty sure you have a obd 1, as i have tried finding my diagnostic port and have not seen anything close to an obd2 terminal.

In saying that, does anyone want to buy a bluetooth obd2 diagnostic terminal? lol

as far as I know all bg/bd legacys are obd1 and obd2 got introduced in the be/bh onwards

odb1 is standard : and the ecu wont give you alot of details either even if you hijack it and set up a display etc
