Front Windscreen Demister...??

Ive removed the heaters/air con etc in my GT for track purposes blah blah blah.. still want to get a wof/cert for the occasional road raping but to save the windscreen fogging up on wet days can i put a couple of demister lines across or around the windscreen similar to the rear windows (no where near as many tho) to try eliminate the fogging up problem??? Any help appreciated.. Cheers

To get a WOF it is my understanding that you MUST run some sort of demisting so the wire idea will need to be done

you also need demisting thingy of some sort for track too

fan or pre-mentioned heater lines are options

I watched a few cars on sun in the rain with those bilge fans and demister strips, still very limited vision and they don't do side windows either!

Yep I do have them, about 8 or so lines, but in a cool/practical pattern.

As for the side windows ill just wind it down a tad... and stuff a rag in the pouch in the door if need be...

bro rain x from super cheap work hard out as long as you follow instruction i stand by there product anti fog mate each aplication last a couple of months two

and that too BUT you still need a demisting option of some sort to pass scrutineering (fan/heater-strips)

Doesnt Rainx go on the outside and just make the water bead hardout, that wouldnt realy stop the foggin up would it.. Still keen to find out where to get some demister strips, i can install em.. i think.. worth a try, havent screwed anything up yet in the build yet lol..

Yup I use both rainx and fogx for keeping fog at bay on bus windows ( heaters work all good until you have a bus full of sweaty/wet/hot skiers then not so much )

I used fog x in a few different applications and never had it work.

One time we used it on a prewar car. It just still foged up.

had to wipe all the fogging up and condensation off the glass 2 see out.

Rain X worked fantastic. Worked better on the prewar cars glass. since it was more vertical than modern windsceens.

It just beaded off even in the heavyest rain.

Never had to use the window wipers for a few years untill it wore off.

Out of interest- where abouts do you get the heater lines etc from?

Never a problem with Wofs. It came like that, sorry, no idea where they came from !
