Turbo Problem?

For some reason when I accelerate heavily, reaching 5-6k rev's the turbo starts jolting and Ticking. Not sure weather its over boosting or there may be another issue. but it isnt pleasent and im sure the turbo is not liking it either. i have tried to drop the psi but there doesnt seem to be any change (nore in power output)

If anyone has any idea or advice it would be greatly received!!

hmmm. hard to disrcribe when i have no idea what im talking about! basicly feels asthough the turbo tops out around 5-5.5k revs. and makes a rather unpleasent ticking noise when up in the revs... will try and make a video clip and upload later on, at work at the moment tho.

pretty crappy video - cant hear much expcept PISH

does it sound like someone has some metal ballbearings in a metal cake tin and theyre rattling the balls around in the tin ? - that to me sounds like pinking - a form of detonation - but i honestly cant make out anything in that vid with that sound quality

does the car start to surge when you say jolt?

surge could indicate to me it could be running lean

if it sounds more like someone is smacking your engine with a hammer - thats some harsh detonation

could be a bit of anything - could be fuel surging (injecting air as well as fuel)

can be alot of things - but by the looks of things so far its harmfull to the engine so you dont want to be doing it very much

any fault codes ? check engine light?

could also be spark blow out - that will make it missfire as the cylinder pressures stop the spark earthing - new sparks with a 0.8mm gap normally cure spark blow out - the right plugs of course -

could be alot of things but if anything can u get a better quality video - or get someone near you in the know to roll with you - just dont keep doing it as it could be very bad for it

Thanks for the feedback, yeah audio is crap on the video, im going to meet up with a couple of guys from wellington on the weekend to fit my BOV so will try and take it for a spin and try and figure out what it is!
