legacy gen 1 vs sti version 7

hey there guys,i have a gen 1 legacy rs,my friend has a version 7 sti with a few mods.he seems to think that if we took them down the quarter that he could take me in reverse!im sure this cant be right.surely he would run out of legs with only one gear???how fast can you get them up to in reverse??i would race him to disprove his theory,but i have these tiny little nuts that wont allow it.please help

No way he could beat you in reverse. Reverse in the average gearbox pulls less than 50km/hr.

I ran my BC5 (Gen 1 Legacy) down the quarter at Laws Rd and did a 13.8 - back when it only had basic exhaust/intake/more boost.

I know, but thats where misinformation starts doesnt it...? Next we will have people saying their STi can beat a Legacy in reverse - its the beginning of the end when STi owners think they can take us

ok maybe you can sort of work it out. see how fast you can go in 1st. most cases the reverse is lower geared so should be slower than what you did in 1st ??? :

yeah I think my 3 year old son will laugh at someone if they said theyl win a race in reverse..I'd expect him not to waste his breath laughing at someone that takes the time to think weather that claim is true or not..and there is no anger in any of my posts made to you just facts.
