Best Alarm and Best Place to get

Hi guys,

am looking at getting an alarm installed in my car this week (finally.) I figured that owning a legacy it is probably a good idea to get one. Central locking with a button would also be a plus

So anyway, was just wondering what everyone's opinions on alarms were, if there are heaps of favourites or if everyone agrees on one being the best. I am looking at getting a five star alarm with an immobiliser, wanting to spend around $500, but I pretty much want the best you can get.

Also I dont' really know where to go for this stuff! Anyone have any recommendations for where to get it installed? I live in auckland and spend most of my time on the shore.

500 bucks should get you a decent 5 star alarm with triple immobilisation, glass break sensor, and doors, boot & bonnet armed. its going to cost more to add microwave sensors, tilt sensors, gps etc all depends on how hardcore you want to get on it, 5 star alarm with GPS would probably be ample

I just got the avs 5 star installed into my car . If u go into trademe and search avs 5 star then find the user jonvy they do install including alarm 450$
