Short Shift Kit

Hey guys

I'm new to clubsub, I have a 92 BC-5 RS and was wondering if anyone knew of any short shift kits available.

Also wondering it suffers minor lag, and was wondering if simply replacing the uppipe will reduce the lag substantially.

Replacing the uppipe with aftermarket will make your lag worse, not better. Larger pipe = slower gas velocity = slower spool. Larger uppipes are only for cars making enough power that the uppipe becomes a restriction at the top end.

replacing the exhaust will help as will cleaning up the intake

what if any mods have been done

a shortshifter is easy to make or one for an early WRX will fit

Downpipe much more important for reducing lag

if its got a stock turbo on it, it souldn't have ANY lag, possibly a fault causing it to run funny

yeah downpipe and exhaust, but its most likely just a little VF10 so its not like your going to have huge boost

Haha yeah I'm assuming it's a fault with the turbo, as it is only a vf10. So does that mean the downpipe won't really do much, as it's more of a fault with the turbo?

just try to find a late model sti shifter, a v5 type r/ra are alot shorter than the older ones, I tried a short shifter in my v5 and it made no difference.
