you wil have the td04l wrx with yellows correct??your factory internal will open at 14 you might need a sti actuator with the 16psi rating or just shut the internal flap via weld

actually the factory internals only hold 10 im sure

an sti actuator (from a VF) only has a 7psi spring and wont bolt onto a tdo4 anyway

i run a vf28 and tsmart 35mm ewg 14.5psi spring and the internal flap never opens

was that when you just unplumbed the vac lines to the standard actuator? i put a 35mm tial on my type r with 7psi spring and ran a gfb boost tap, never spiked over 17psi, had same boost tap on my starlet and never spiked (maybe 0.3psi if that). found easiest and cheapest way to put on an ewg was to by legacy 250t headers and weld a flange by the up pipe as they are mild steel. worked well for me

yeah just left the actuator in but nt connected it apparently wil hold up to 16psi until the presure pushes the internal flap open so the sti actuator has to be more then 7ps right?

All internals have a 7-8 psi spring - factory solenoid ups boost from there

Are you talking about the factory "internals" as pistons etc or gate?

Talking bout wastegate springs - they're allways 7-8 psi spring and the solenoid ups it from there - the reason for the soft spring is so limp mode can turn the solenoid off and give low boost
