what brand intercooler kit?

i just mounted mine on v6 and spent hours chopping up the bumper to get it to fit just right. ended up drilling bumper support and packing it down about 60mm hacking the chassis everywhere the pipes went through. it was luxury sports didnt fit at all anywhere.

Don't cut anything unless your 100% sure... You should only need to move you radiator overflow bottle, the front bumper support may need trimming but this will be a wof issue so do so at your own risk... The bumper will be the most work, you'll need to cut a decent amount out if the intercooler is 600x300 sized. Google up some branded ones as it might show you a bit more

just trim away weight reduction is the way ;D

test fit it i cant count how many times i put the bumper on but i wanted it absolutely perfect. paint all edges you cut so they dont rust and make sure the pipes dont touch steel or they will wear through. just take it slow she'll be right ;D

remove the bracing bar that runs between the chassis rails, it just unbolts, my mate trimmed his up after many discussions with his cert guy.

the non sti's dont even have that bolt on bar, so its not a chassis piece.

be VERY careful cutting anything, I ended up cutting away part of the crumple zone on my V5 and had to buy a secondhand chassis rail and use about an inch of it to weld a patch back in to get a cert.

If your planning on getting a cert later its worth spending the time now to figure it out properly

i didnt think abouth cert but i wont need one just a warrant so i just didnt trim anything structural

i had the support im non sti v5/6

the support Im talking about is only v7 sti onwards, its a thick steel bar that braces between the rails not the bumper frame on a v5/6

you can just cut out some of the bracing and reuse the bar.

I was warned never to let my rego deregister completely as with my bit welded back in it may fail getting reregistered. but as its legal now its fine.

front mount isn't something that needs a cert but if you ever want coilovers or anything else that needs a cert you may fail at a later date

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
