whats the best choice for a single turbo for the bg5 gtbs??

For ease, id say TD05 or VF22.

Imagine that......we agree on this Mr TheOtherWhiteGTB. I've used a VF24 on mine for this reason too rather than having to deal with the slightly larger VF22 or TD05. Hopefully it will move its ass reasonably quickly.

A VF23 would give similar results, good power making potential and nice and responsive.

Koom, The reason why you agree with me is because i am teh shizzle. BTW, the other option is always a EZ30, no turbo lag and they make it sound WAY better!!!

Best place to pick up a VF24 would either be tardme or on a forum. You could get one from a wreckers but you will get your pants pulled down for essentially the same thing. Or you could get one new from wingers or an online store but then you will have a rather noticable jump in price

Be aware if you get a turbo from tardme or a forum that you check the shaft play, if they move in or out or off centre they are definitly poked.

VF30/34/39's are also very good turbo's, bit smaller than 22's, but still on the large side of the VF family. I picked up my 39 for $300, so they CAN be had cheap, you just gotta be real lucky! Deff nice to have that bigger turbo to haul the leggy's heavy arse around... if it's not about light weight and handling, why do you need a perky turbo? ;D
