Splitting a wrx box from the engine

FOR THE LOVE OF ME I CANT SPLIT MY BOX FOR ENGINE! HINTS AND TIPS WOULD BE EVER SO HELPFUL A

you need a 10mm allan key to take the cap off that are in the box next to the starter motor

get a m6 bolt usually from the cam covers to pull the pin out, lift the folk up to unattached the folk to the bearing.

done

once done you will try hard to split again as the dell key on the engine and box are hold together. unless u got that loose already?

Done that all aready taken clutch pin etc out I have the box open like about 3mm at top but rest just does not want to budge. Use pry bar??

he means the 2 dowels between the engine and gearbox housing. they are usually a bit stuck and don't like being pulled out at an angle

yep thats the next option... pry bar, make sure its raided high enough for the engine mounts to clear the sub frame

Box is out and on the ground! Whoo hoo. Will fit clutch tomorrow and reassemble .

hope u using a clutch alignment tool to line your clutch up or you gonna find it hard to put back together?

Na used my builders eye! Cant get much better than that haha. Its all in mint didnt have a prob at all getting box back in.
