2001 Wrx modifications

Hey guys. I'm pretty new on here I was just after a bit of advice I have a 2001 Wrx with usual simple mods, exhaust, heavy duty clutch etc. I was wondering if anybody could

Give me any ideas on what other modifications I could do to get more power out

Of my car. I'm not really looking to splash out on cash to bad and don't want

To really risk blowing my engine so please don't advise a boost tap ;D

Any help would be appriciated.

I thought u only require a tune when you have a aftermarket ecu or turbo setup. What exactly would it accomplish? Cheers

Is it a bugeye?

Get someone to flash the ECU, improves fuel economy and gets you a bit more power!

Check this guy out http://www.trademe.co.nz/497483324 about half the price as most shops but nets some good results. Gained 40kw at the wheels in my 01 sti with basic mods (fuel,tbh, panel filter). If you live too far away you can send your ecu to him and he'll load a basic map for you for 250$ gains around 20awkw.

250 will get u a full custom tune

And yea +1 on tune but with non Sti it will be less gain being limited for the td04 turbo

I have done a few v7 Wrx with bigger turbo and intercooler and that gets good gains in top end
