WRX rims on a leone + other questions

Hi all,

can any one tell me whats involved in getting WRX 5 stud rims fitted to the 4 stud of a leone? or if it can be done at all?

also what fits from the GC8 v3/4 era on to a leone i.e. shocks, 4 pots etc

Check out ultimate subaru message board(there's a link to one of the threads in old school) and they have guides for a five stud hub conversion. But it is possible my old mans mate has legacy hubs on his brumby.

It might do, do you have a Leone now gazzy? the auto ones have a wide enough transmission tunnel the legacy/wrx manual g/box fits then you could run full gc8/legacy running gear and engine conversion to boot: and run a link hehe (too ambitious?)

Fitting WRX stuff into a Leone can be done and has been done, engines fit, gearboxs fit, rear diff fits,

wheels are a pain to get and fitting the wrx rims is very very hard to do as the leone hubs have a LARGE centre that either have to be machined of or spacers fitted to get around them.

Easier to do either a 6 stud conversion or use your typical 6 stud 4wd rim and drill them for the leone stud pattern ( needs 2 extra holes as 2 will fit)

Front hubs maybe doable but I doubt you will be able to do rears, I was looking into this on mine, you could swap the front hub and strut and use the bottom ball joint ( have not tried but I could as I have both sitting in my parts pile) the rears would be difficult as it has not got anything that even looks close to the impreza setup.

This is one of the reasons the 6 stud rim option is used so often . You can get a good size rim for cheap and with not much work.

I was lucky and got 2 sets of 14" rims for mine cheap.....
