Zerosports Intake Kit

what advantages do you get or would you get with a Zerosports Intake kit? - Is the pipe a bit bigger inside - I cant really see any advantages with the chrome pipe to the stock plastic pipe

any ideas?

Just get one of those M&H silicon replacements - those Z/S things are ridiculously overpriced

1/3 the cost, does the exact same job.

I noticed no power difference whatsoever but intake noise got a bit louder if nothing else

So why would someone spend $200+ on A Zero Sports Intake kit If it made shit all difference? Its just that Im wondering about swapping one off my GTB that I\'m selling to my E-tune that I\'m keeping

Cause its shiny and has a brand name on it

Same reason people spend hundreds on gearknobs, oil caps, carbon cambelt covers

They might do something - I just didn\'t notice it with the bum-o-meter is all.

May as well keep it - can\'t imagine it would make or break a sale and then you get to keep the shiny thing

this is the same with the underbodybrace - not sure whether to keep that or not either

Personally I\'d keep it, you may as well - it looks the part and it must do *something*. Not like you\'d say "$6500 with pipe and $6300 without" haha

A lot of things don\'t add any actual value when it comes to selling the car - you could sell it with or without the brace and noone would be the wiser. 90% of those buying it wouldn\'t know it was there if you didn\'t tell them, even if they looked. The BH I have now had probably 2k worth of parts on it the previous owner didn\'t even know were on the car - just wasn\'t a car geek like me I guess.

Whenever I sell a car I just whip off anything non-permanent which won\'t get me any extra $$ at the time - subwoofers, flash head units (I just buy a cheaper one to put in place) , gauges, boost controllers - that sort of thing - stuff you\'d just end up buying all over again with the next car.

I dunno... just idle thinking I guess. Who knows - if you\'re having no real bites on a buyer, removing some of the "boyracer" bits like braces and shiny pipes might even help it appeal to a different market.

Some of the guys on the UK subie forums rate them quite highly along with the HKS varient, less flex in the tubing meaning more consistent flow however they were only on the later GD shape and even then I am not totally convinced. Whatever you do just make sure any intake does not have an oiled air filter !
