been asked a few times to pick/drop folks to places and just wana be clear on if any issues when taking cash for the jobs...

As you are taking "gas" Money then yes the vehicle will have to be certified as a taxi, YOU will have to have a PSV licence and your company will have to have a PSL to run a vehicle with a PSV.

OR you can just carry on breaking the law and hope that 1/ You never have an accident while carrying fare paying passengers or 2/ No one Dobs you in for running an unlicensed taxi service.

I own/run a successful bus company and get rather peeved when people try and cut corners that takes money out of my pocket, I bet your local taxi service will feel the same...

Makes no diffference it is still taking money, The wording for running a Taxi/shuttle/bus is"for hire or reward" even petrol vouchers,mutton, pork or what have you.

have never had a drunk person spew in the car but recently saw someone spewing in someones garden and thought sh!t that could have been inside my car

and you need to keep a log book logging your driving hours. You\'ll need commercial insurance, if you have a crash and use one of your "passengers" as a witness and they mention to the insurance company they were paying for your services you wont get paid out.

IMO sweet as if its a "now and then" thing, but if your planning on do it full time you\'ll get caught

yo stoffa..na man sometimes get asked to pick/drop ppl and most of the time dont really wana and when i do say yes, they are like get the sti and we will gas u up but once u say yes its hard to then say no and just looks silly trying to blame the car not running right all the time..

using the psv and insurance is a good escape clause tho

have used the car is not running right and the tires are bald and also exhaust leak lol (and eventually somone said subarus break down a lot lol)

tried using the no gas and get offered gas so thats a no go
