Full Dash?

so im looking at setting up the dash in the car, is it required to be a full dash, or can i modify it to only have the drivers side, then put some protective foam over the rest of the main bar?

it will have a seat for a passanger.

will be makeing a bracket on top of the bar to have the laptop in, for data logging.

any info will be usefull, thanks

ok, so if i cut it up how i want it, then just use foam protector over everything that i think is bad hahaha

if i cut it and the scrutiner dont like it... ill just get a custom cover over it to make them happy.

would wait for another to verify my statement OR read the manual....

seen some with no protection as you are pretty well restrained once belted in - passenger comfort is not really a consideration....

exactly, dont care bout the passenger they can walk the track if they want lol

if i get the time im gunna start tomorro.... so if all else fails and the dont like it, ill just get one made, meh

my last commodore (race race) only had the top section of the std dash. Any sharp edges that were exposed, i had to cover or grind.

Pass, I would say yes as long as it has Odometer and Speed (this does not)

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm at the moment considering redoing my dash so how did people get on with this? I'd like to know before I make any major changes mine

there is a section of the WOF stating all interior needs to be complete, but then thats open to interpretation (sp?) like anything else.

i guess you could get it cret'ed

oh I could see how mine could got outside this, oh well I guess I'll just have to take it off the road for good

however if I custom make one then tech speaking it would be complete it might just be easier to put the factory dash back in
