1995 twin turbo boost probs

ive got a 95 legacy with a vf20 & vf14 its got no low down boost and when u get to 5000 rpm it goes ok what could it be ?

my last legacy went much better than this one i have now and that was running a vf13 & vf14

yea maybe aye got no codes coming up u can tell when the secondary comes in but on open rd shit lol anything under 5000rpms

When you say no boost - does that mean the gauge goes to 0 and makes no boost or does it just feel sad

Munted turbo is likely, but seriously until you get an actual diagnosis don\'t worry about it - could be something super simple like a leak... somehow? or a wastegate jammed open or fckknows what - absolute worst case a new primary is like a couple hundred tops

If it\'s defaulted to stock boost (7psi or so) for any reason (which they can do) they feel almost non turbo anyway

ok i put a boost gauge in today 10 psi it feels like something is holding it back like im towing something the car is auto by the way

sounds like its in limp mode. seeing as its not throwing codes i would be leaning towards the afm being shot. if you have access to a multimeter you can test it with car on and see what voltage it is reading. im sure marky will know what voltage it should be reading at idle and WOT

one thing i forgot to say is when u first start the car the power light flashes 16 times i google ir and it seem a petty normal thing ?

never heard of that one before , what does code 16 for the auto come back as ? have you checked the oil ?

it looks like the 16 is just to tell you something is wrong . might pay to do some diagnostics on the box

i just did a "secret handshake" method. code on the auto no codes came up but it seen to get down and go at the monent it was like car was in limp mond

ok i think i found the prob its the auto going into limp mode cause when u start it u get the power light flashing 16 times. but u go 1st 2nd 1st 2nd 3rd drive then start it the power light goes out right away. and car goes sweet as till next time lol is there any way to check code?.

The 16 flashes is a centre diff issue, most likely a failed solenoid, easiest to either locate a good known replacement auto or do a manual swap, You will have to pull the intercooler/downpipe to confirm turbo failure, i\'ve seen quite a few with the exhaust wheel sitting on top of the catalytic converter, What part of the county are you in?
