The factory air box is better than a pod. Just replace it with a new element once it starts looking dirty. Elements are $10ish so not a biggie.

As above. factory airbox can support high hp. If you are after induction noises just do a snorkelectomy. Plenty of info out there if you search dude

Definitely stick with the factory air box unless pushing heaps of HP it makes no difference.

Also watch out for oiled panel filters that drop into factory air box as the oil tends to collect on the MAF ruining it.

Yup, leave it stock... including the filter.

Yep do not feck with the air box with oiled filters or putting pods on unless you\'re removing the AFM completely.

I\'ve gone through several AFM\'s at $200 or so each due to an oiled K&N filter.

Factory air box + factory air filter = /thread.

But as others have said, oiled filters make the AFM go poop, there\'s no performance benefits in changing filter to something else either.

Also pod filters that aren\'t bolted down ruin AFM\'s with vibration.
