starting propblem

I have a v8 wrx sti spec c running 230kw so it has a few mods

im having trouble starting some times, I have to turn the motor for about 5secs and then it slowely comes to life. Ive noticed that by reving it abit before turning it of helped alittle. But seems to be geting worse. ive noticed that the fuel pump is alot quieter now, I used to hear it from inside the car pretty well.

Are you meaning when you turn the key to start it takes awhile for it to actually start to turn over

My old gc8 had that issue ended up replacing the fuel pump and a earthing kit on it and never had another issue

Start with battery and see if it\'s in good nick

Maybe swap and see

Also how are the spark plugs?

Fuel pumps usually sound Abt the same so if it\'s quieter then maybe check it\'s condition and wiring to it

Check ur ground wires

Has the Ecu been played with cos maybe they changed some fuel details for the cranking section??

Is it still on stock Injectors?

Yea motor turns fine just not firing straight away spluters and coughs abit then shes away.. car is due for a 100k km service soon so it may be spark plugs. Yea its got biger injecters pump and ecu played with. How often should I get car turned?

Tune wise well for the most part if it\'s done correctly then not at all

Factory ones last forever

Just depends how nicely the reflash is done

As an example the ones I did Abt 5 years ago still running nice as the day it was done

Im sure Ur one should be fine

Start off with a service anyway since it\'s due

Sounds like plugs to me, see how your service goes, ask to see the plugs
