I guess so?but the inlet size is the same as fuel hose size so it cant be to bad?

Never seen one before thats all lol

Inlet size has nothing to do with it

Think of it this way - what\'s easier to breathe through - a straw with some foam in it, or a pringles can with the same foam

Compare that filter with the size of your factory filter and you\'ll get the analogy

Sorry poor wording

The inlet size while relevant is not the issue of "size" here

Considering someone removed the stock filter to put that in its place, if it were me I\'d be just replacing with the proper unit

I think last one was like $40 from stoopercheap which is probably about what that little red thing was worth anyway

I believe Mark is talking about the flow rate.

Isee, the factory fuel filter is alot larger as i can see compaired to this one

How does the factory one work?does it fill up to a certain amount of petrol while filltering

To me this one looks like it would jus flow straight throught it and im guessing the fillters in the middle some were?

I\'ve never dismantled one but I\'d guess the inlet hose goes in and to the bottom of the canister and the fuel filters upwards through the foam filter to where the outlet is at the top

They are not really designed for regular vehicle use, more for farm vehicles and ones where the fuel can get a lot of crap in it, the can be unscrewed and cleaned and are designed to go inline before the regular filter to avoid clogging them up with crap.

Finally another sane person joins the thread.

Well yea gauze/similar to a sieve doesnt have a very low micron rating where fuel filters are generall 2-30 mic thought people wouldve been able to figure that bit out. I havent cut a sub one up but others I have are pretty much 2.5" cylinder of packed media and they get filthy. Often they have say 30 then 10mic staged filtration inside like hydraulic stuff. Idk how bad our 91/96 is at pump but the gauze are more for shit like rust in a tank/filth etc as above.

Doesnt need to be genuine - honest.

Ive never actually had a filter Ive sold fail in 7 years of selling mainly sakura/donaldson to car/commercial market and a fair chunk of luberfiner/wix/ryco. Of course shit does fail with anything look at the recalls toyota do on their cars theyre genuine... :D Issues we do have to fix every so often is where people have spun on a filter similar can size but horrifically different inside = big issues. Or hydraulic low pressure matched by size and spun on the high pressure side.

Issues are 99% user error with filtration not the fact its aftermarket as its manufactured to oem spec.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
