Speedo cable issue

gearbox is bolted to motor currrently

Screws out doesnt it? I thought they had a hex on them to undo it? Electronic do anyway cant remember on the mech ones.

its supposed to but the plastic nut on top had snapped off leaving nothing to unsrew it out with took me an hour with a screw driver to snap it out and i damaged the thread and top edge lol. now the new one wont go in.. awesome haha

with a diamond point chisel. No problem at all.... You will need a replacement speedo cable bit though............This one is now F***ed as they say :D

which bit are you talkign about? for the speedo cable? ive got the one off my old gearbox that wont fit. and what do i use daimond chisel for? lol

It might of spun out with a punch and small hammer? Find a replacement speedo cable sleeve, take it to an engineering outfit and get a thread tap to suit. Maybe run the vacuum against it while you re-tap the thread so you don\'t lose any slithers into the gearbox. tidy the top edge with a file.

welll. it seems there was more plastic stuck in there that i couldnt get out put it up on a hoist and used one of those bendy camera with lights to see and a pointy scraper to break it all out blew it out to clean it. and seems the threads wasnt all that bad plugged it all in reset ecu and BAM! the speedos working again YAY! no more check engine code
