Subaru MAP Sensor Wiring

Hey guys,

Just about ready to hook up my new G4 Plugin and need to install the new Link MAP sensor. I\'ve been told I can wire it into the existing MAP sensor wiring harness, just need to know what wire is which. 3 wires, red, yellow with black stripe and black with white stripe, I\'m making the assumption that the red is +5v, black is ground and the yellow with black stripe is the sensor wire, am I correct in thinking this?

Can anyone please tell what the sensor is that feeds into the factory MAP sensor and if this can be removed.

Regards

Aaron

Get a test light easy way. Gutting when I did my conversion I used the expansion loom not stock wiring. I think black w/white is common ground but I would think it needs to have a sensor ground?

One wire when earthed will give you a light - thats +5V

Next will give you light when you feed it positive power - thats earth

Other wire left runs to ecu.

Thats what I did on my TB conversion and worked fine. Just had to clear the CEL I had for high voltage error when I put 12V into the ecu.

What map sensor are you using? You can leave it all as is and use the stock map sensor? That crazy solenoidy looking thing converts or something the signal from the mani so the map can read it from what I gather. I didnt use it with the 2.5bar link map I think its only required for the stock map sensor maybe even only for the stock ecu.

Cool,

I\'m using a Link 4Bar MAP Sensor, so if I can remove all the factory stuff at once I will.

Cheers buddy

The factory one is poos, it gives you 2.5 bar absolute (if we\'re talking V7+ anyway) which is 1.5 bar boost, so 21.7psi and apparently they start to freak out around there anyway, if you need a Link you ought to be running >21psi anyway I figure?

I\'ll be using a link 4bar sensor as I\'ll be running 25+ boost. Just wanted to know if anyone new what the sensor was that is plumbed in before the factory MAP sensor an if it can be removed without causing any issues an if I was correct with the outputs for the 3 wires going into the factory MAP sensor.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
