Lol aahh, I see hmmm, I was hoping I'd get a nice rumble but not be too loud haha. I'm tempted to buy it though, cause its pretty cheap. Where did you get the silencer from?

I would imagine that would be bloody loud on a TSR. 3.5" piping is rather excessive for a 2.0 NA... Been told it will reduce low down torque too.. 2.5" is supposed to be best

Yeah I would imagine it would reduce low down torque. Humph, it looked soo good and was cheap too. Back to square one

I lost 8kw atw on a 3liter with a straight through muffler. I wouldnt worry about the torque problem as much as it being irritatingly loud. Anything over 2.5inch tends to be noisy in the cabin too

8kw :o

Yeah droning at 100kmh in 5th gear is what you really dont want. You could always get a muffler like that welded to your normal 2'' piping. Should give a bit more purr without the noise

Yeah thats kinda what I was thinking about :-D but wasn't too sure if that would work well?

i got mine as a package deal from uniweld here in chch, cheap az chips cause it was damaged stock :)

Hmmm, I wonder if I should just bite the bullet and buy it

mhm i was thinking less $$ for a trial of what you mite want, but wouldnt that + standard rest sound the goods?

saves you alot of time pissing round fitting etc or paying someone to fit, just bolt it up... sell it on if you dont like it

Well thats what I was thinking about, if I got it for $100, its cheap enough to try it out

Well I've organised to buy it off the guy for $110 to try it out, if it doesn't work great I'll just sell it on

Let us know how you get on... ;)

I had a 2.0NA with similar exhaust - DRONE DRONE DRONE all the way home

TSR has the quadcam engine. noice. i performed the snorklectomy and had crowesport CHCH fit straight extractors with no cat. loose a small amount of torque due to no intake reservoir but pulled hard to the redline ;D

i miss it sometimes but now i have boost :P

Well I've bought it, and fitted it yesterday! Sounds the part too! Was a Biarch to get it off though, had to angle grind the bolts off lol, corrosion is a pain. Took 30 seconds to fit it though once the old one was off! Will post pics later and maybe a video of sound

Yea had to take to the bolts with an angle grinder when replacing the exhaust on my tsr :D Not easy while lying on your back

haha, I thought it was harder pulling the old one off the rubber mounts, though once you get the technique its fairly easy. Have you got a TSR?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
