Advice 2004 GT error code PD

Hi there, I have a 2004 GT Legacy Manual and lately I have the error code ER - PD coming up on my dash. Has anyone had this before and what was it? Any ideas on how to fix this code, would re setting the battery work? Cheers.

Drivers window isn't working. Worked before even with that error coming up from time to time, now window isn't working and error code is there all the time.

That'll be the one then. Not a clue how to fix it though. Worth finding this module and checking the plugs are fully connected. Don't think it's behind the door cards, have had mine apart and never saw anything back there that would be a control module, unless it is part of the drivers side switch setup. The one suggestion they seem to say round the place is to turn the ignition on and off a few times and if its a one off issue it'll go away.

Edit: if thats the case then this part may have just completely failed now.

If someone has a service manual for these years they might be able to point you in the direction of this module. Check all fuses if you haven't already.

Something to do with the power windows/control unit.

I'm fairly certain the control unit is in the drivers door (as Andy said integrated within the switch assembly). I had to pull the driver's door panel off last week, was in a hurry and forgot to re-connect the bigger plug going into the switch unit. Only realised when none of the windows will go up or down, no central lock at all.

Is there no response from the driver's window at all or you can detect some movement?

What part of the country are you in? If you're lucky you may find someone willing to let you try their one to see if that works

Could also try pulling the switch box apart and cleaning all moving parts, then clean the circuit board gently with contact cleaner. Have a good look for dry or cracked solder joins while in there.
