BP 95 Plus Fuel

So 2 BP's in Auckland have introduced 95 Plus blend, which is apparently a 70% 98 and 30% 91 mixed at the time of pumping via their new pumps.

I think it's is about 7-8c cheaper than 98 Octane it self.

I've been solely running my Legacy on 98, but think I might switch to this 95plus blend. Any thoughts/advice if it will be bad for my engine?

I'd want to know what the octane rating of it is, before deciding if it's any better than standard 95. If it was a mixture of 98 and 95, I'd be more inclined to use it... but not 91. Sounds to me like a watered down 98, which is basically what 95 is anyway, isn't it?

95 and 91 is common crap from that can be made anywhere .

bp 98 is not made in nz and is genuinely better

sounds to me like they have a quantity of something that should be 98 but didnt cut the mustard so they watered it down even further and hocking it off .

although it could be tied in with that stuff from last year about removing 98 from select garages due to a permenant shortage of it

So they are selling something equivalent to 95 octane, at 95 octane prices, but calling it something new? sounds like a solid business plan...

I was told by a port worker that 91 is used basically as a slosh tank, so if there's any small leftovers of any fuel, old stuff, even bits of diesel it would get chucked in the 91 tanks with the thoughts it would dilute itself out... Not sure how I'd feel with that being mixed with 98...
