Dented sump question

Hi all just doing a engine swap right this moment on my car and noticed a rather large dent in the sump of the replacement motor, does anyone know if this will be ok or how far up the pickup is from the bottom of the sump. I would replace it now but I'm strapped for time using my mates garage. I did a quick Google and others have been ok, but I'm not sure how large their dent is compared to mine, anyone had a dent in their sump that looks as bad as this? Here is some pics..

Rip it off and bash the dent out. It'll cause starvation if its blocking the pickup

Aren't new sumps pretty cheap these days?

Check the pickup it might be broken too.
