Inlet manifold gaskets / leaks

So I munched an inlet manifold gasket through generic incompetence the other day, pretty black and white, bought a new pair and put them in last night

Still has a minor leak, enough to stumble at idle and sound like a tea kettle on boost

The internet gives me 50/50 opinions on if I should use sealant or not (I haven't), I'm also a bit cagey on going too tight on bolting it down more than I have as I don't think the spec is for a hell of a lot of torque (13Nm?)

Thoughts, opinions?

Like 90% sure it is, will confirm in an hour or so once I get the workshop to myself to mess around with the compressor haha. Gets worse the hotter it runs too

Blown piston #1 common issue when you start fckn round with maps on rev d's. Lets oil into combustion chamber which fouls plug intermittently and gives the effect of mani gasket leak. Read it on fb and they #knowwhatsup

25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.1 ft-lb). Shouldn't need sealant.

as long as the surfaces are all flat and not rue-weened shouldn't have any inlet mani leaks with new gaskets unless they are absolute balls.

Yeah, it's weird. Definitely leaking at the gasket, blocked off the throttle body and put a compressor down one of the vacuum fittings, sounded like a tea kettle. Will persevere

Gaskets are new from subaru, changes with how hot/long the motor runs (no leak when cold, progressively worse with time & temp). Kinda weird but I'll work it out
