G/sec compared to whp

Find this kinda interesting, seems to be a really direct correlation between g/sec airflow (measured on stock AFM) and whp - like to a degree it's a near on 1:1 relationship with most cars, with some wiggle room

Has anyone on here looked at the same, like "car dynos at 200wkw, and peaks at 275g/s airflow" - I'm just kinda curious.

And also want to compare my car

Id love to monitor airflow by logging a maf but would need a custom calibration for it to read high enough.

Mine was peaking at just over 250g/s the other week whilst doing some logs.

Really don't think that equates to 190kw though....

Honestly didnt mean it that way just cant imagine afms reading over 650cfm. Even z32 or whatever they are seem to be paired for higher output application. Imagine anything electronic or robinsons could recalibrate but still stepping to a 3in tube would likely hinder results. I had a thread along these tracks somewhere.

That's where you go up to a GM MAF, the likes of the big 85mm truck / LS3 ones - none of this Z32 nonsense (Q45 is the upgrade from that too)

Mine peaks around 290g/s and wondering how much of that is purely screwy AFM readings, it goes good but not *that* good

Roughly 38lb/m or tiny turbo territory. Thats a rev d maf marky? Considering a 20g is around 48lb definitely need a custom calibration.

From the tune Matt just did now it peaks at 240g/s and gets 169kw, so round 226hp so pretty damn close really

The $60 cable works for this at least, going to fiddle with enginuity etc and see if I can pull the rom or at least do a proper log

Learning view and ecuflash no go but... That's a hell of a bonus for anyone fiddling with anything earlier than 02, can actually see what it's doing rather than crossing fingers

Yea forgot about that. Was still driving back down when you txt earlier. Driving down after 4 on the friday of a long weekend is the dumbest thing i've ever done, took over 4 hours.

Where did you get your cheapo cable from by the way? Think i probably have the same one of those too. Got it for the old Legacy but not much use for me now.
