17x8.5 rota grids.

Can I get away with equiping 17x8.5 rota grids on my gc8 without worry? I have 22b front guards that are fiber glass so i cant roll them. as for the rear I dont mind getting them rolled/flared. Any other hiccups I might run into? Ty guys

I had 18x8.5 38 p offset

had guard rub in the back (fixed by rolling) - front was sweet (rolled any way)!

An 8.5 wide rim at +30 using a 225 tyre will certainly rub on a GC8. Your fronts will be ok with the 22B guards, but the rears will need a lot of pulling/rolling, and even then it may only just fit (you will probably have to run a fair bit of negative camber to get clearance). I am using 17x8.5 +48 with 240 slicks, and my rear guards have been pulled out as much as possible (without fully butchering them), running -3 camber and they only just have enough clearance. So my wheels at +48 sit 18mm further inwards than your +30 - Probably best to use a smaller, lower profile tyre (215/40) with stretch so the tyre tucks under the guard...

Im running 17x8 +15 215/40/17 with a roll/pump in front/rear. -3 deg camber in rear and doesnt scrub anything less than -2.5 and it scrubs. Front scrubs with -2.5ish. When i say it scrubs i mean when coming out of a corner at full tit or over a decent bump in the road.
