03 H6 3.0L motor tapping noise

Hello all

I have a Subaru Legacy 03 with a h6 3.0L 6 cylinder motor in the last week/ 2 weeks it has started to make a tapping sound on the left back end around the number 6 cylinder, only when its warm not from cold

( have had and heard the 4 cylinder making the tap of death but this is no a tappy as the no a poping )

So far ive changed and flushed oil and run magnatec 10w40 in it and have add a valve cleaner additive as to directions but no luck.

Im going to start on seeing if the spark plugs are loose?

Any others know or have had this problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Im guessing you mean it is not the normal big end bearing noise?

have you checked for exhaust leaks? could be a blown exhaust manifold gasket

il look thanks i was thinking that too but when i was under doing oil didn't sound like that aera

I had that tapping noise in my old H6 but never when i reved it, not sure if that's a similar case but the mechanic said it was fine. Your one sounds a little more severe though..
