Hoses off intake to turbo

Hey just wondering what all the hoses are going to exactly and can they vent to atmosphere or have to go to intake pipe ?

Boost control solenoid, crankcase breather and head breathers... maybe

one other thing(?) all go back into the intake. Best to leave them as they

are unless you have a specific problem.

no intake leaks post AFM is key to good running car, that includes vacuum lines

I've been curious as I see alot of people run a strsight alloy pipe when running twisted turbo with no pipes coming from it

Yep theyre generally running an aftermarket ecu which gets rid of the air flow meter. On a stock subaru the air going into the engine is measured by the afm which enables the ecu to prescribe the correct amount of fuel for timing value. So any leak post afm screws with it and makes it run like ****. All the pipes plumbed back in to the intake are recirculating air from the intake tract rather than venting to atmosphere/causing a leak.

The aftermarket ecu runs map based so it references pressure post throttle body and intake air temp. So effectively you can run the car with an open throttle body no turbo/intercooler.

You can, but need to figure out what you're going to do with the 2x head breathers and 1x crank case breather (e.g plumb them to catch can or safe vent place)

The other thing is the idle control valve aka IACV. You need this to run cold idle. People sometimes remove them if the car doesn't see daily driving but it requires you to manually idle the car until warm.

ugh sounds like a hassle as my car takes sometime to warm up
