Sti Nardi wheel into BG5 leggy

Hi all

Contemplating whether or not i should go ahead with this

I currently have the stock standard airbag steering wheel

my question is ,is there going to be much modification involved swapping this over?

pretty sure youll have to modify it as the electronics will be set up for an airbag.

Also if your car has got an airbag, and you want to remove it, you have to get the car certed for that "modification"! http://www.lvvta.org.nz/knowledge_base.html#steering

The SRS airbag system has to be disabled and a whole load of other stuff to make the car safe (like will the belt pretensioners still fire with the airbag system disabled etc)

its up to you if its worth it. I previously installed a STi Nardi into my BF5, and its a nice wheel, but dunno if its THAT nice

Try it out might fit but I don't think it will fit. I no you can't fit a v3 Nardi on to a v4 onwards column.. your best bet is to go after market seeing the steering wheels are 20 odd years old now.. you can get boss kits that will fit the clock spring and cancel indicators out.

This should help you, however its an expensive and time consuming process just for changing one thing based purely on looks.

Unless of course your current wheel is actually damaged and making driving hard or annoying, I wouldn't bother though.

the GTB LTD got a wooden momo wheel accents, maybe try & get one of those?
