Can't remove rear sway bar

So.. a bit of a problem.

When I turn the nuts to remove the sway bar links, the bolts turn inside the links. Normally the bolts would have a hex-key fitting inside them which you then put a spanner over, but these don't have those holes. The other side is metal so there's no hex fitting there either.

How the heck am I supposed to remove these things so I can swap the bar? I have whiteline links to replace these, so if I have to munt them, so be it.

Is there not a section next to the boot for a spanner? Thats what my ones without the allen key cutout had.

Or just get some vice grip over the end of that bolt and try keep them fairly straight to not mess up the thread too much

+1 for vice grips, or try an impact gun.

Yeah actually after some more googling, found the answer. There's a flat section next to the boot that a 14mm spanner goes onto.

Where did you get your links from? I've got a cusco 22mm bar but standard links that I should upgrade at some point.

IMO the standard metal links like in scoobydoo's photo are as good as any aftermarket link, I've run 26mm bars on my race car with them and never had an issue.

The ones I used on this are Whiteline ones that I bought 2nd-hand.. however I also have Whiteline links on the front bar which I bought new, with the bar.
