Bh Lack of boost

Hey guys can't seem to load any photos of my 2 rides for some reason.

Anyway with my bh wagon tiptronic I've got boost but bugger all punch with the boost, there is no cel associated with the issue. Occasionally it will start and run for a few seconds on 3 cylinders but allways once driving it runs on 4, but if you stop and turn the car off to say run into the shop, come back and start the car again you will almost guarantee it will run on 3 again, at times has a strong smell of fuel that can be smelt from both inside and outside the car.

I'm leaning towards plugs being in need of replacement badly and maybe a dodgy coil.

Anyone else got other ideas?

pictures need to be on another host like Imgur or photobucket or you can even link to facebook photos :D

check the plugs on your injectors as well, I had a loose one once & made it run on 3 = cool lumpy idle

I found my lack of boost to be down to the lack of a turbo :D. As Joker said sounds like it could be a faulty injector. Do you know what cylinder it doesn't seem to be firing on? maybe see if swapping the injectors causes it on another cylinder.

Swapping the injectors over is a lot of work and would normally be a diagnosis last resort. A bad injector can normally be found with a mechanics stethoscope, holding the tip of a screwdriver against the injector and the other end against your ear. A working injector will give a definite ticking noise through the screwdriver, where the dead/sticky injector will be silent or sound completely different.

Check the injector loom plugs as Joker suggested, but most likely dirty spark plugs or a vac/boost leak somewhere. A strong fuel smell with no leaks anywhere suggests it running pretty rich. If new plugs doesn't sort it then it could be O2/MAF/Coolant Temp sensor/IACV.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
