Idle Fluctuation

Hey Guys! 

 

Currently stuck with a bloody annoying situation. A couple of months ago my 1998 Subaru Impreza (V5 STi) decided to start having idle issues. On idle after being warm the revs start to fluctuate up and down, whilst i drive its fine but then when i come to a light its continuous. I decided to pull off the intake manifold and replace all the hoses and gaskets, in the process i also replaced the Idle Control Valve. The issue is still here and constantly happening, it feels like im not getting full power like i used to either. I thought it might be the MAF sensor but i did the MAF "test" by pulling it out while turned on, not sure if this was correct? Could anyone lead me in the right direction?

Just tried looking for the part but they have none available, is there a interchangeable MAF sensor that i could use? I know they have those colour coded sticker ones but mine doesn't have any sticker.

Your one won't have any sticker nah. Version 5-6 I believe did away with that. 

 

That's the part number and it is available? So maybe you got the wrong one or something.

Before you go do that though, take off the idle control valve and make sure it isn't stuck or hard to move. Sometimes they get stuck and cause the hunting that you're speaking of.

 

EDIT:

 

Never mind about the ICV. Didn't realise you'd already replaced it.

Cheers,  I actually did locate the wrong one! I probably need the whole housing as well, someone over tightened the bolts and cracked all the fastening tabs Zzz.

Looks like this is going to be an expensive trial fix.

The be/bh legy rev a b c also have the same tube so pickapart could sort the tube part out cheaply.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
