Squeaky boot door

Hey guys,

Been noticing a squeaky noise coming from the back of my Forester and have narrowed it down to the boot door while I was washing it. When you apply pressure (such as a sponge when washing it) the left hand side moves in closer to the rest of the car and makes the said squeak.

Any Ideas what this could be other than worn boot seals? I'm rather stumped and its starting to become rather annoying.

My doors on my impreza sadan were squeeky but then sprayed some white lithium grease on the hinges and now they're quiet and easy to open and close like new. Give that stuff a try and see how it goes.

Get some silicone spray and give the seals a light dusting.

I use silicon spray all the time at work it helps with 90% of the door opening issues in the buses

It also gives the rubber a nice new shiney look and I use it on the sidewalls of the tyres too mmmmmmm shiney \
