Saw this ECU for sale on Trade Me but the seller has no idea on what it actually does.

Can't speak for the ECU and eprom, but it's from japan so will have fuel maps to suit 100 octane.

Best to do a before and after dyno run to check your AF ratios.

Wicked computer. Had it in my type r.

No speed cut, more torque tuned for 98-100octane. Better than the standard ecu, specially built for the subbies!!

Got 220hp at the hubs when the Type r was standard.

I'll try and find a link for ya. I had info on it somewhere. ;D

Hi all,

I have discovered after removing my ecu to replace with a link thats its none standard..

and inside

I has zersports on the front and a large daughter board fixed to the motherboard (obviously)..

I cant even find what model it is, but i suspect from my googling that its a Z4...

My V3 GF8 went really well with this, i knew the car felt fast, but wasnt sure why..

Mine is a 3 plug however...

Any ideaz?

By the way, i got a TD05H from a STI, can anyone tell me if its going to make much difference to my wagon?

TD05 should go way better - assume you have supporting mods..

My ecu looks similar altought also has extra (large) rom/cpu chip on it...

What kind of injectors do you have? Might pay to get yellow tops aswell just to incase, cause when I had this ecu, I was running 17psi (but that was a newer,3plug version for v3/v4 subbies). But yea seems like a good deal. Considering I sold my Prova for $450.

I got your run off the mill grey top injector. What version of yellow top injectors should i get to drop it straight into a V2 WRX? and do i need to upgrade the fuel pump as well?

The v3 yellow injectors should just go straight in, but I dont know about the fuel pump. Do all rexs come out with the same fuel pump? I mean is the sti fuel pump the same as a wrx fuel pumps? I've got a sti fuel pump anyway if you want it or TM...

My fuel pump broke last year and my blo*dy mechnic went and bought a WRX fuel pump from Subaru and costed me $495+GST. Man i could have got an after market one for half the price.

Will look into buying some STI injectors

you will need to Oranage AFM too.... your green one wont cut it..

and yes all those bits should slot straight in...

Factory parts are soooo expensive...i wish he had told be before he went ahead and ordered the damn thing..
