Hi anyone know if the suspension from a 1998 BH legacy will fit into a 1994 BG5 Legacy?

(Did a quit search but didn't find anything.)

My mates got a BH Legacy and we looked into that as I have the BG model and nope! they actually have a completely different rear strut set up and as for the front not a huge amount of differnece but by the looks it wouldnt work, you could give the fronts a go but definately not the rear - I would'nt be too hopefull though.

fronts would, rears never

someone did say fronts have a different way to hold the brake line in place and would work between models but nothing cable ties wouldn't fix

Ok thanks for the answers, saved me some moneys :)

Yep, BH's have multi-link rear suspension, totally and utterly incompatible.

What CAN fit in a BG though is V7 STi stuff, and boy does it go well :D

V1-6 though, the rear sturts and springs are too short and you get the arse sag going...

Do you know of someone who's done this swap before? I haven't heard of it before but would be keen to know if it can be done and what differences I could expect :)

Yep, i do. Car's off the road at the moment, so can't say for sure, but i've been in cars with V7 stuff and they are bloody good. The BG with the V7's sits at a very good ride height too, and no arse sag like GC8 stuff.

V7 gear creates to much positive camber in the rear.

Can be fixed with mods the the shock (Slotting the bolt wholes like the front) or some camber bolts.

the way i was going to do it was, slot(grind/drill out) one of the wholes and have a wheel alignment & tack a washer etc to keep the bolt from moving.

In my bd5 i had V7 shocks with sedan lowering springs and was way to much positive camber, handled like shit. went for a test drive and almost ended up owning a new power pole

if i started again knowing what i know id go for v5/6 sti shocks, swap the top hats and use some wagon springs if you got a wagon, use sedan if you got a sedan.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
