my rims were re-painted (old owner had them painted before me -not powder coated) by grant at GT REFINISHERS.... has lasted ages!!

2 years and they are still like new...

- im only having them redone this xmas because im changing the colour

i also got mine painted, was $100 for gloss black and lasted near 1year, still look good, just when i get new tyres the edge sometimes chip off, but just get touch up paint and sweet as

$100 for painted black? so $25 per rim?

maybe i just got a REALLY good deal, but when I had my jeep rims done, I got them powdercoated black for $15 a corner...

cool! i wasn't really sure ae, just went to a place around the corner. $60 later had 4 nice black rims ae...

When you get them painted just make sure they have powder coated rims before and that they know how to do it properly (nothing like having it done wrong and it throws the rims natural balance out... especially if you are a track junkie)

Powder coating (while limiting choice of finishes) is way better than paint.

Painted rims can fade and will chip/scratch, where as powder coating is much, much tougher; no worries with it chipping when fitting tyres etc...

I've been told the complete opposite to that, from a few different tire/wheel shops (with the chipping part)

depending on who does the powdercoating, diffent combinations of the materals can influence its strenght etc

They're in glenfield and I had 2 sets of wheels done for my old scooby. Great result, didn't get messed up by little stones and always cleaned up like a million bucks.

Not hugely expensive, rind them for a quote!

I've had both, and the powdercoat never chipped once, where as the paint needed to be redone approx every year...

powder coating services in port rd seaview, they do an awesome job of anything that has surface rust as well, I got my coilover springs and top and bottom radiator mounts done. They look like brand new
