new 4wd gearbox in but...

hi. my car was rwd and i blew the gearbox so i got another gearbox on which is 4wd

but i havnt got front axles on as i didnt have one when i got the car.

i will be getting in on anytime soon but still waiting for cvs..

but i have 2questions..

1.would the car still roll backwards, fowards in gear if there is no front axles with a 4wd gearbox? or would its somthing wrong with rear diff?

2.would the car not start if tps is broken?

hey bro you will need front axles with that 4wd gearbox to have any drive.

ohk i see, thats what i was telling my mate, but he keepd on sayn it hada fukd diff...

nearly had to get a new diff :-\

and btw does anyone know rear outer cvs are alright to fit in a front axle??

i would assume they are interchangeable, but someone else should be able to confirm.

As far as i know rears are a different length.....but ive been wrong before

Also the car will roll...just not very quickly. The center diff always has a bit of slip in it. My one is VERY tight for some reason whereas ive seen others which are not so much.

Ive got a front one in my shed for a BH, they have the ABS ring on the axle rather than in the hub. Not sure what your model would have but if its the same you can have mine for the cost of shipping +$10

just buy new ones, they cheap as and will last alot longer than old ones.
