Fuelling Problem

So took the RS out tonight to check its running fine..

Got half way around the block and it died.

No fuel coming out at the engine..

Toook the fuel pump out and it works when hooked straight to the battery

Plug under the rear seat isnt burnt out.

No power at the fuel pump plug or the plug under seat, its got constant power under the seat but no switching power.

Any idea what this could be or which relay is the fuel one ??

fuel relay next to ign relay above drivers foot well

ign relay is brown, fuel relay is green

Is it likely that would of failed??

Got the parts car there il swap it over

nope..just tested relay couldnt here pump prime up..

Is the ECU powering up?

And check all the connectors you unplugged under the bonnet for the engine swap.

Shit is the starter strong enough to turn the car over??!! Most just turn the engine....

Nope, starter circuit is independant of the ECU.

I was going to ask if the CEL came up, but Link, so yeah nah....

yea i have had this problem once before, however brad didnt you say you drove it half way round the block? that would meant that it was running to begin with right?

if it was the ecu earth it wouldnt start at all.

has it got earth an earth at the pump?

I drove it on monday night for about 10mins

and then about 5 mins yesterday before it died....

Umm i put it all back how it was Ryan at the pump if that helps

was there power at the relay? power at the pinout on ecu? dont ask me which pin it is lol.

good point, probably the best place to start as you did have the engine out brad.

Yeah il check the plugs etc tonight..

And its possible it could be cam or crank angle sensor so might swap those as well

do you have a factory ecu to use for diagnosing? if it doesnt turn out to be the plugs that is.

yup but as it has yellow injectors i dont htink the computer factory would like this right..

its not gona start anyway, after thinking bout it though im not sure it will throw any codes without the engine starting.

the ones stored from the previous car it was installed in right?

so thats no help. what if you reset it, would it pick anything up without starting, if there was a problem it could pickup?

And swapped the cam and crank sensor today andd didnt help...

ok so, you have no fuel delivery - correct ?

and no power feed to pump when ign initailly turned on - correct ?
