Does anyone have the pinout info for the coil pack igniters??

I've decided to try a matched pair of coil pack and igniter to cure my hard starting fault.

But I need to rewire it from the dual plug ignitor to single plug. Anyone got the info??

Wiring is easy, there's nothing to it. I can help you wire it up if you want.

Basically you got your 4 ins (ECU signal), your 4 outs, and power or ground, i forget which. You just make that into 2 ins and 2 outs and the spare wire. Presto. Cyls 1 and 2 are joined, and 3 and 4 are joined, but you knew that. You should be able to colour match wires even.

I know how to do it, I just don't know what pin does what on the new ignitor. Don't worry about it anyway, the whole idea has been shelved.

Ah well, that's a shame. It has been done before, so you know it is possible.

I actually had an idea on the way home after talking to you today. You mentioned it'd be best down by replacing the whole loom, and F-that for just an STi ecu. But maybe you don't, maybe just changing the sensors is all you need to do. New TPS, cam/crank angles etc. etc..

That was if you were determined to get it done, but given the price on that possum link... :D

Yeah its out. Pissed me off one too many times. If Drunkenmonkey doesn't pick it up to try in his bf this weekend it will all be up for sale.

yea but is it coming out because it wont work or because its a pain to get to work?

As long as you know stuff like MAF=AFM, and duty solenoid = boost control etc, you're sweet.

The adaptor appears to be a working item, the problems seem to exsist with the 3-plug ECU talking to old sensors or something like that. There's more to it than just an adaptor. But obviously we've gotta address these other things in order to make more adaptors and sell them.

I reckon you need a full loom, from the sensors right back to the ECU.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
